Suite NY is a furniture dealer on the eleventh floor at 443 Park Avenue South, a floor it moved to in the summer of 2026 from further down the same avenue. It has traded since 2013 and works residential and commercial from one floor.
What it represents is European, and the list is the reason to go rather than the category. Källemo and Gärsnäs from Sweden, GUBI from Denmark, Bonacina 1889 and Giopato & Coombes from Italy, Vincent Sheppard and Seitz alongside them, across seating, tables, storage, lighting, beds, outdoor and rugs.
Those are houses a New York designer can otherwise only see one piece at a time in mixed showrooms. Bonacina's rattan in particular has to be handled: the frames are bent and bound by hand and the weave has a weight and a spring that photographs flatten into basketwork.
The showroom is open to the public on weekdays from 9 to 5:30 and takes no appointment. It is an eleventh floor room with no street window, so nobody arrives by walking past, and the floor is quiet for it when a client is being walked through options.
Giopato & Coombes lighting is the thing to see lit rather than photographed. Blown glass with a visible filament reads as jewellery in a catalogue and as a light source in a room, and the difference decides whether a fitting is doing the work in a scheme or sitting in it. Ask to have the pendants switched on and the showroom lights dropped before choosing.
