111 Murray Street was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, 64 storeys and 157 residences in Tribeca. The tower is sheathed entirely in glass, with curved panels turning the northwest and southeast corners, and it flares gently outward from about the fortieth floor up to a sculpted crown.

The structural move is at the corners. They are column free, so the curved floor to ceiling glass runs continuously around them and a corner room has no post interrupting the turn. The flare above the fortieth floor widens the upper plates past the neighbouring roofs.

Two consequences follow indoors. A corner is glass on both sides with nothing solid at the junction, which is the best light in the building and the least usable wall, so a corner room is planned around a perimeter with nothing to build against. And because the flare widens the plate as it rises, plans differ between the lower and upper parts of the tower rather than repeating, and a layout drawn for one does not carry to the other.
