The facade is limestone with sculpted relief and custom railings, drawn as a contemporary reading of the pre-war Upper East Side apartment house rather than as a copy of one.

Ceilings run eleven feet. Many apartments have a terrace or balcony, which brings a door and an outdoor level into rooms that would otherwise meet the elevation at a window.

Twenty six residences across twenty two storeys is close to one a floor, so most apartments have several exposures and no party wall to plan against. The limestone carries punched openings, so the wall between windows is solid and deep and will take weight, and the sculpted relief sits outside rather than affecting the interior face.

The attribution of the architecture is not settled across sources, some crediting Robert A. M. Stern Architects and some Studio Sofield, so this page names only the interior designer.
